I was born in New York City! Hey it is a good thing that this is not a Pace salsa add huh? ;-)

I am a Learning and Development Consultant for a bank and I really appreciate Volkswagen automobiles.

I love to travel and most recently took a cruise around the Caribbean on the Mariner of the Seas! If you ever are presented with the opportunity to take a cruise try Royal Caribbean they take fantatsic care of you.

I like to read and have a vast library of African American Authors.

My friend got me connected with this site as I was having great difficulty uploading and sharing photos with friends and family and it looks cool so far. Bear with me, as I play around with colors and setting and make things a bit more comfortable around here.

Leap Of Faith : The Leap Of Faith Girlfriends club from Beaverton Christian Church took a group of 35 women up to Mt Hood Oregon for an overnight adventure. We stayed at Mazama lodge and slept dormitory style in bunk beds that stacked three beds high. Saturday morning we had a hearty lodge breakfast and set out for a snow shoe adventure. There were three groups easy, moderate, and strenuous. These are some of the photos from our first snow bound adventure. A good time was had by all! Glitz & Glam Girlfriends Night : Girlfriend's Night is an opportunity for the ladies to get out to church and have some fun. There are "pamper me" stations where you can do your nails or even get a manicure. You can sign up for a massage, hairstyling, play bingo, enjoy a fashion show, or even dance the Macarena! Here are some photos from the one year anniversary Girlfriend's night. This time the theme was officially Glitz and Glam...unoffcially I think it was The Power of Pink.

Snow in Portland...in March? : Many of you know that here in Beaverton the elevation to the valley floor were we live is approximately 100 feet. So eventhough you can drive to Timberline lodge on Mt Hood where there is snow most of the year in about 90 minutes (if you go the right way). You can also drive out to the beach in Newport and Seaside in about two hours (next weekend's photographic adventure). Well all winter long the weather men and women predicted snow down to the Valley floor yet none might was as mighty (relative term) a turnout as the snow they told us probably was not coming last night March 8, 2006. And yet, in the wee morning hours before I headed out to work I stepped out the back door and found this laying on my back deck. I am not sure...what do you think? Doesn't that look like snow to you? Imagine my surprise, when I walked out my front door and found more of the same. Especially the pine tree in my front yard enrobbed in a light dusting of snow. The wonder of it all is that once everyone made it to work, it began to snow with great voracity for 3-4 hours yet none of it stuck. As I write this it is trying again and it is cold enough to stick tonight. So to all of you that have doubted me in the past, I say. LONG LIVE THE SNOW DANCE!!! ;-)
